Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Narrative Resources, LLC (d/b/a PsychMaven; “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the PsychMaven continuing-education platform at learneroutfitters.com and its subdomains, including psychmaven.learneroutfitters.com (together, the “Platform”). It applies to all visitors and account holders, including users who sign in through a third-party identity provider such as Google or Facebook.
1. Information we collect
- Account and profile information: your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash), and — because CE certificates must be issued accurately — your professional license type, license number, and licensing state if you provide them.
- Sign-in data from identity providers: if you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and an account identifier from that provider. We do not receive your password, and we do not post to your accounts. This is the only data we request from those providers.
- Learning records: course enrollments, lesson progress, post-test attempts and scores, course evaluations, and CE certificates we issue to you.
- Purchase information: what you bought, when, and the amount. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
- Affiliate program data: if you join our affiliate program, your payout details and required taxpayer information (e.g., IRS Form W-9).
- Communications: emails and support or grievance correspondence you send us.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, collected through server logs and cookies (see Section 5).
2. How and why we use information
- To create and secure your account and sign you in, including via Google or Facebook.
- To deliver courses, track completion, score post-tests, and issue CE certificates in your name.
- To meet our obligations as a continuing-education provider — including maintaining attendance/completion records and making required reports to CE approval bodies such as NBCC, APA, ASWB, NAADAC, or state licensing boards.
- To process purchases, refunds, and (for affiliates) commission payouts.
- To send transactional email (receipts, course access, certificates) and — only with your consent — marketing email about new courses. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To respond to support requests and grievances.
- To keep the Platform secure, prevent fraud and account sharing, and comply with law.
We process data received from Google or Facebook sign-in solely to authenticate you and maintain your learner profile. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
3. How we share information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that host and operate the Platform on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (application hosting), Cloudflare (content delivery and media storage), Stripe (payments), Kit (email delivery), and PayPal (affiliate payouts). Each receives only the data needed for its function.
- CE approval and licensing bodies (e.g., NBCC, APA, ASWB, NAADAC, state boards) when required for CE reporting, audits, or verification of your credits.
- Legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or business.
- A successor entity if our business is merged, acquired, or its assets sold — your data remains subject to this policy or one at least as protective.
4. Data retention
We keep account data while your account is active. Records of CE course completion and issued certificates are retained after account closure for the period required by our CE approval bodies and applicable law, because licensing boards may audit or request verification of credits years after a course is completed. Other personal data is deleted or de-identified when no longer needed for the purposes above.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in sessions (essential) and for basic site analytics. You can set your browser to refuse cookies; the Platform will still work, but you will not be able to stay signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
6. How we protect information
All Platform traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Data is stored with access controls and row-level security so learners can only reach their own records, and administrative access is limited and credentialed. Payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS-compliant processor. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information with commercially reasonable safeguards.
7. Your rights — access, correction, and deletion
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make any of these requests, email admin@davidhallpsych.com from the address associated with your account with the subject line “Privacy Request” (for deletion, use the subject line “Data Deletion Request”). We will confirm receipt promptly — normally within 5 business days — and complete verified requests within 30 days. Full step-by-step deletion instructions — including for data received via Facebook or Google sign-in — are on our Data Deletion page. Note that we must retain records of issued CE certificates as described in Section 4 even after an account is deleted; we will tell you exactly what was deleted and what was retained, and why.
8. Children’s privacy
The Platform is intended for professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us at admin@davidhallpsych.com and we will delete it.
9. Marketing choices
You can opt out of marketing email at any time via the unsubscribe link in any marketing message or by emailing admin@davidhallpsych.com. Transactional messages (receipts, certificates, account notices) are sent as part of operating your account.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision; material changes will be announced on the Platform or by email before they take effect.
